I. Working Principle
A total heat exchanger within the main unit facilitates energy recovery during the exchange between indoor exhaust air and outdoor fresh air. It recovers the cooling or heating energy from the exhaust air and uses it to pre-cool or pre-heat the incoming fresh air. This process effectively reduces energy loss and significantly lowers the operational energy consumption of the air conditioning system.

II. Main Types
Sensible Heat Recovery Wheel: Made of metal, it recovers only sensible heat (temperature) from the air. Suitable for applications where the primary need is temperature recovery or where moisture transfer must be avoided.
Total (Enthalpy) Heat Recovery Wheel: The wheel surface is coated with a hygroscopic material, enabling the simultaneous recovery of both sensible heat and latent heat (moisture). This significantly reduces the subsequent dehumidification or humidification load on the fresh air system.
